Commissions
The artist accepts commissions from time to time of a specific scene or subject matter. A commissioned watercolour painting or drawing is done specifically for you, however, a condition of commissioning an original work from the artist is that she retains full copyright of the resulting image.
Commissions have included Irish scenes Glencar Lough, Parkes Castle and Creane Farm; and a commission from the GAA of former Waterford hurler Tony Browne. Paintings were commissioned for former US Presidents George Bush Snr (RIP) and Bill Clinton, King Charles, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and three former Irish Taoisigh. She has been commissioned to create collectible products in the United States of America for Busch Gardens Virginia, QVC in Philadelphia, the UK Pavilion at Epcot Disney World in Florida and Franklin Mint, and other organisations worldwide including Belleek Parian China, Pimpernel International, John Hinde Ireland and the Guinness Storehouse (Dublin).
The steps involved:
Step 1: Email the artist a description of the subject matter of the painting or drawing to be commissioned info@roisinoshea.com
Step 2: The artist will respond, research your request, and if she is willing to accept the commission will discuss with you the timelines and likely cost.
Step 3: The artist will send a Booking Form which should be completed and returned, and a booking deposit is usually required.
Step 4: The Booking Form is the contract for the commission, and its terms include:
- The agreed date by which the painting will be ready
- The size and cost of the painting
- Whether the painting is mounted (matted) or framed
- The delivery address and Shipping costs
- Whether a deposit is required
- That the artist retains copyright of the image
Step 5: The artist also licenses her work for reproduction, the terms agreed being set out in a separate licensing agreement.
